Dohle Marine Services sp. z o.o. was founded in 1991 in Łódź as PHU Geo-Marine, initially providing geodetic services. In 2000, under an agreement with the affiliated agency Stan Shipping and its client MIDOCEAN IOM, the company established a support office in Gdańsk, taking over crew management for a large number of vessels from Stan Shipping.

Geo-Marine was one of the first recruitment agencies to sign an agreement for student internships with the Maritime Academy in Gdynia. In September 2005, the company changed its name to Dohle Manning Agency (Polska) Sp. z o.o., and its headquarters were relocated to Gdynia.

In 2013, the company was renamed Dohle Marine Services Europe sp. z o.o., aligning its identity with the German shipping company Peter Dohle from Hamburg, while also reflecting the company’s current scope of operations.
