In 1990, after over 20 years of working at sea, the founder and director of the company, Captain Sławomir W. Pietrusiewicz, took on the challenge of organizing and leading a private crew agency that would meet the highest international shipping standards while also fulfilling the expectations of Polish sailors for a reliable, friendly, and professionally run agency with excellent customer service.

Today, Balteam is a team of dedicated, experienced, and creative people who are well-versed in the conditions of maritime work, efficiently and professionally fulfilling shipowner requests while ensuring the full satisfaction of sailors and their families. These team skills, especially the responsibility for the well-being of our crews, form the foundation of our continuous development and allow us to look to the future with optimism.

The shipowners we represent offer employment primarily on vessels such as general cargo ships, coasters, RO-RO ships, car carriers, multi-purpose ships, heavy lift vessels, offshore units, chemical tankers, as well as bulk carriers, container ships, luxury yachts, and passenger ships (cruise ships) such as those operated by CARNIVAL.

The long-standing cooperation between our shipowners and sailors is a testament to the favorable employment conditions and the high qualifications of the crew members we recruit. In 2013, we had the honor of organizing a farewell ceremony for sailors/officers after 25 years of service with the same shipowner, as they retired.
